Tanyard's Celebrated Performing Artists

A Musical Tribute to Our
Musical Giants of Yesteryear

The legendary Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame recording artist, Maxine Brown, whose recordings of “All In My Mind,” “Funny” and “Oh No Not My Baby” made her a star on the R & B circuit, has also brought out her love and passion for music to become a songstress of the blues.

Beverly Crosby, who performed with “Stuff," led by Gordon Edwards, has a bluesy-gospel voice which triggers in her listeners the spiritual meaning and "readiness of enjoyment."  It’s her love for the music business that keeps her motivated and constantly on the road.  Crosby currently works with the legendary Ben E. King.

Ella “Peaches” Garrett has performed with many well known acts, including a group called the El-Jims, which included her husband, the legendary Motown bassist, Jimmy Garrett.  Garrett can scat out a "mean tune" with her sultry voice to accent the brass section with any band or orchestra.

The show has been revised for the listening pleasure of the audience, who is constantly requesting Ms. Brown’s original tunes and other noted tunes by Ms. Crosby and Ms. Garrett.  Collectively, they have come together to bring their unique styles in full harmony.
