The Jazz/Symphony Orchestra is a program designed as a method to continue one of humanities most ancient arts by sharing the collected wisdom and experiences of musicians and giving personalized instruction to the next generation. The program matches professional musicians and recording artists with young people high school to college aged in a highly structured format which culminates in a concert in New York City.
As a charity organization we look for
corporate and
individual sponsors to strengthen the growth and development of this
program as it expands to encompass the world’s traditional music and
cultural centers. The TBA program is a both a career enhancement program and a cultural exchange program that introduces young developing musicians to industry professionals. Our program connects young apprentices aged 12-20 (with notable exceptions) with accomplished professional musicians and recording artists who will provide advice, field questions and music instruction. Each selected participant will be assigned to a carefully screened mentor who will maintain personal contact with students and parents. Each student will maintain a written journal and agree to be photographed and or otherwise promoted by Tanyard Productions inc for further program development or features on the corporate website. Each participant will be joined with a musician in their performance area. The TBA program is designed as a structured endeavor with a schedule and structure that provides a combination of instruction with performance. Mentors are encouraged to take young people with a guardian to observe their entire performance routine. Mentors are also encouraged to form collaborations with fellow participants so that the global tradition of music exchange continues.
